Working with contacts

Working with contacts: step by step

What is a contact in IPTel CRM?

A contact is a record that contains information about a specific person: name, phone number, email, position, etc. Contacts can be linked to companies, deals, tasks, and even subscription products. This approach helps you create a complete customer profile and organize all interactions in one place.

1. Create a new contact

You can create a new prospect manually or automatically add one when working with a lead or company.

The contact is automatically linked to the company if you add it through the company card.

Fill in the basic fields: name, phone number, email. If necessary, you can add additional fields that are important for your business.

2. Linking to a company

Each contact can be linked to a company. For example, if you work with a legal entity, the contact is linked to its card.

Linking allows you to track all connections between contacts and companies.

3. Calls and communication

The history of all calls, comments, emails, and other types of communication is available in the contact card.

You can call a customer, send an email, or write a message via messengers (Telegram, Viber) directly from CRM.

All communications are automatically recorded in the contact card.

4. Subscription goods

If a customer uses regular services or subscriptions, you can specify these products in their card.

This makes it easy to create deals, generate invoices, or run automation, such as automatic monthly billing.

5. Linking to objects

Contacts in IPTel can be linked to other objects, such as deals, tasks, documents, comments, etc.

For example, you can create a deal based on data from a contact card or add a contact to a task.

6. Using history

The contact card stores the entire history of interactions: calls, emails, status changes, completed tasks, etc.

This allows you to quickly understand what stage of cooperation you are currently at.

Features of working with contacts

  1. Linking to companies:

One contact can be linked to multiple companies if the customer represents multiple organizations.

  1. Subscription products:

Recurring services or subscriptions are automatically added to a contact. You can view their status or convert them to a deal.

  1. Integration with other objects:

Contacts integrate with other system modules, such as chats, calls, tasks, and documents.

Tips for effective work

Fill out the contact card as detailed as possible so that you have all the information at hand in the future.

Use automation to work with subscriptions — to save time and avoid routine tasks.

Always check if the contact is affiliated with the company, — it simplifies the management of interactions.
